AOA Xinetics - In October, 2010 Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems announced the merger of two of its strategic business units, Adaptive Optics Associates and Xinetics. The resulting organization, AOA Xinetics, designs, develops, and manufactures a wide variety of standard and custom electro-optic and opto-mechanical products. It will continue to expand its engineering and manufacturing capabilities to provide its government, industrial, and commercial customers with the highest quality products, systems, and services. AOA Xinetics is a leader in the development and deployment of wavefront control systems for real-time wavefront sensing and correction. It develops and manufactures world class products in precision motion control devices. These include active optics such as deformable and hybrid mirrors which are scalable in size for applications in airborne platforms and ground telescopes. Microelectronics Products and Services (MPS) is a leader in the design and fabrication of high-speed components for established and emerging commercial markets, including cellular and broadband wireless systems as well as aerospace, defense and scientific applications. MPS also offers foundry services that utilize advanced indium phosphide (InP) and gallium arsenide (GaAs) semiconductor manufacturing processes from Northrop Grumman Space Technology.
